Electrochemical Control of Bacteria
Over the last decade, there has been increasing interest in electrochemical signaling and control of fundamental processes in bacteria. This electrochemical modulation occurs in both single-cells and biofilm communities. Thus understanding these processes and being able to control them offers exciting possibilities to engineer and control bacterial infections and community dynamics (see Refs 8 and 13 for reviews).
